Our history and approach
Our counselling work began under Art & Arch in 2009. The creation of the Human-Service division in 2011 gave traditional private mental health counselling a new framework, direction and momentum. Building on the founder’s nearly eight years of experience in the United States, our initial steps into adult and higher education achieved the results we had hoped for.
At the time this original account was written, we were working within institutions to protect and promote the mental health of approximately 2,500 young adults in Budapest.
Over time, our organisation developed three principal areas: on-site student counselling, workplace mental health counselling, and private counselling at locations in Budapest. We also established supporting research and development activities that produced programmes available to educational institutions and businesses. Our commitment and focus have remained unchanged.
Above all, we seek to support people's psychological wellbeing and personal growth, whatever their age or circumstances, helping them find fulfilment and enjoyment in their own lives.
Value-centred counselling is about learning to live authentically, in harmony with one's inner self. It is about choosing our goals thoughtfully and being able to work, act and live wholeheartedly.
